The Droid Android phone is Motorola’s latest technological innovation. It has only been released last November 2009 and yet it already has more than ten thousand available applications online. But what can one expect from this new gadget anyway? Well, almost all Droid cell phone reviews say the same things. The Droid is basically the pioneering Verizon model that has run Google’s operating system for Android smart phones. It is similar to the iPhone because it is also a powerful small computer that has the capability to make phone calls. However, it also differs from it in terms of the keyboard. The Droid has both a physical and a virtual keyboard while the iPhone only has a virtual keyboard. Additionally, the Droid is the first phone to run Android version 2.0. And it has the capacity to run multiple applications simultaneously.

So, users can update friends via Twidroid while chatting and checking their IM’s. They can also surf the net wherever they are since Verizon has the best 3G coverage. They do not have to worry about experiencing dropped calls and Internet timeouts either. The Verizon network is really reliable and fast. Moreover, Droid cell phone reviews emphasize that Motorola’s Droid has a higher camera resolution compared to the iPhone. It also has a better sound system. So, users can listen to music and engage in phone conversations without any fuss. The gadget’s battery can also last for more than six hours in spite of nonstop use. Everybody seems to be talking about the new Verizon Droid cell phones nowadays. With their professional style and thousands of great applications, any person will surely want to have one. One, the Droid has a sliding keyboard. And two, it can access the Verizon network.

In addition, the Droid is powered by TI OMAP3430. It also has a high resolution display, GPS voice navigation, and inventive peripherals such as a multimedia station. Its user does not have to close an application anymore just to open another. Furthermore, it has a lot of free applications available. In fact, some of these applications are seen as widgets. And they just have to be clicked on the screen.

Moreover, Verizon Droid cell phones have interchangeable batteries. And they can last for a day without recharging. This impresses a lot of users, considering that only 1400mAh batteries are used. And its five-megapixel autofocus camera is just as impressive. It uses a dual LED flash which makes night photos outstanding.

Because the big Motorola Company is in desperate need of a smashing success and Verizon is also in need of a great prop up, the two major companies have finally brought a new Android Phone as their answer. But did the phone really provide success? Verizon’s huge marketing campaign do seems to think so, with unusual iPhone rhetoric, mysterious Android bite and high end features, it did become one mighty phone to reckon with.

The Droid Phone Verizon currently features a 3.7 inch 854×480 WVGA capacitive Touch Screen display, a touch screen addition, a built-in 5 megapixel camera, Custom Motorola interface/UI, no Verizon UI, No Motor Blur, and a 500MHz CPU ARM Cortex. This modern minimalist phone actually lacks the HTC trademark styling or the slim stone look which can be seen on Palm Pre. The phone is basically rectangular in shape due to its sharp edges, but the phone is really slim for QWERTY slider and really looks professional similar to a high class piece. The phone is extremely compact and durable, and its keyboard slider moves easily in a smooth manner that clicks when you close or open the phone fully. The Droid Phone Verizon is a phone for people who enjoys sophisticated type as well as for business type of people.

Its 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen also dominates the front face of the phone that also features a sensitive touch screen situated just below. Though the phone’s resolution is very high at 854×480, its operating system’s text is not really that painfully small and the images it produces are reasonably sized.

Motorola’s new Android Phone, The Motorola Droid 2.0 is probably the company’s first and only lust-worthy smartphone that utilizes Google’s Exclusive Operating System. This new smartphone from Verizon Wireless is definitely one hard phone to beat, putting all other Google Android phones to shame. Motorola may have failed on some basics in its quest for a mind blowing smartphone, but its Android 2.0 phone is definitely a mind blower that features high-end software and applications. The droid phone case is considerably attractive, the phone is big and industrial with an even steam punk looking design at 4.56 by 2.36 by 0.54 inches (HWD), and a hefty 5.96 ounces makes it pocket friendly. The Motorola droid cell phone case is bright and very rich with its 3.7 inch and 854 x 480 LCD touch screen display.

Slide the phone’s screen to its right and it will reveal its powerhouse keyboard. The phone offers two different decent touch keyboards, complete with word correction and completion. The phone’s expansive screen display is definitely an attention grabber. Its expansive screen can also fully display the width of desktop web pages. Android 2.0’s screen makes viewing and reading very easy – calendar, email, icons, and so on. The real pleasure in using the phone is when you flip the phone sideways and its web page loading.

Furthermore, the phone’s web page display no longer requires horizontal scrolling and double-tapping its screen will give you zoom in command. Android 2.0 by Motorola can also support most DHTML and Java Script, but sadly does not include flashes or any kinds of controls.

One noticeable about Droid phone reviews all over the net is that they have pleased Motorola too much. On the onset of the Droid release last November 9,one of the reviews said that the Droid phone is the best device the Verizon Wireless has. It is a very high compliment for a phone that was release only a few weeks ago when the review was written. This made the consumers fickle whether this phone is nothing more than a sexy phone and only to be set aside in a few months (just like any other devices) or will this phone become a timeless classic.

Just like any other smart phone, the Droid has its drawbacks. Several reviews mentioned it’s lack of multitouch support, autosyncing software; one Droid phone review also mentioned the small memory available for applications—only 560 MB internal memory and it’s lackluster camera. Its QWERTY keys are squashed which makes it difficult for the user to text quickly. The phone does not support Bluetooth calling as well.

But the Droid is getting a lot of lauds due to its Android 2.0 operating system, enhanced web browser, speed, large WVGA display and resolution, audio quality and choice of physical keyboard, not to mention the Google Maps Navigation which the phone offers for free among other features. The Droid’s technology covers 12,000 applications all fully integrated with Google. So setting the drawbacks aside, the Droid is the smartest phone that you can have to date.

Although Verizon and Motorola refrained from referring Droid as the iPhone killer, it is undeniable that this phone has a lot more niceties compared to the Apple’s iPhone.

The Droid cell phone is not only known as Verizon Wireless’ first Android Phone, but is also the network’s first Android Phone to carry Google’s Android 2.0 web browser – latest and perhaps the greatest operating system by Google. When the Droid cell phone was first earlier announced, it quickly made a great stir among public despite the recession’s effect.

One of the phone’s main update from the Android 1.x to 2.x is in its platform that handles communication and contact browsing. Its portrait keyboard is also a whole different story. Designed with narrower buttons and anything above tiny hands, using its horizontal software keyboard is very convenient especially when you are multi-tasking from one application to another.

Google’s updated utilization is based on Motorola’s Blur and HTC Sense combined. This allows users to conveniently create messages and Emails from multiple accounts under a single source. You can add multiple exchange accounts and multiple Gmail accounts by using its Android 2.0.

The biggest update to Android 2.0 is by far its Google Browsing Navigation. Its updated Google web browser gives a new web browsing which is actually pretty near to close winning. Make no mistake about it though – its superb browsing experience can be attributed mostly to its stunning 3.7 inch touch screen. Although few key downfalls prevent the phone from achieving an elite status in browsing performance which is mostly due to the absence of a flash and poor zooming, but with its built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, combined with Verizon’s data fast network, the phone’s web browsing experience definitely surpasses today’s vast majority phone.
