Verizon Wireless Droid Phone – Review


Verizon wireless droid phone was officially released on November 6, 2009. Back then, Motorola was successful in delivering great hype. The droid’s featured display is sleek, its updated Android 2.0 was excellent, and its handset was indeed lightning fast, specifically as an Android smart phone.

Although it’s already a bit absurd to mention the expression iPhone killer, but comparing between iPhone and Verizon wireless droid phone are obvious, and Motorola was successful in informing Apple how real Droid’s threats are.

Situated just below the droid phone’s display are four different touch buttons: Menu, Back, Home and Search. These four capacitive controls also perform the same functions similar to different Android phones, with the addition of menu and search features being incredibly helpful. The former button functions by activating Google’s search engine with just one click, and the latter activates relevant menu options for various features and handset commands. In baffling change from its previous appearance, the droid phone is no longer built with a physical talk control feature. Instead, the phone provides a convenient calling function command through its widget situated on its screen display.

The phone is also built with a much larger letter keys and is backlit for convenient dialing in dark places. The availability of four row keys do mean that the punctuation commands, numbers, and symbols can also double up with letters. The phone’s remaining physical controls is consists of camera shutter that is situated on its left spine, and an explosive volume rocker. The phone is also built with a Micro-USB port intended for USB cables and for charging.
